Search and Replace Shareware Downloads

Two shareware download formats (.exe & .zip) are available for Search & Replace for Windows. No files are added or changed in your 'system' directory. An uninstall choice is added to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs.

Search and Replace is compatible with Windows 2000/XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista (all versions) & Windows 7 (all versions). 32-bit and 64-bit (x64) versions are available. Windows 95/98/ME & NT are not officially supported but fully patched versions the program (32-bit) should function on those platforms.

Language interface downloads are available below for German, Danish, Dutch, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish versions. Some older Japanese, Greek, Norwegian, and Swedish modules are also available. Write support@funduc.com if you need an older language dll that is not listed in the download links below.

If you are interested in the international versions, install the English version first and then add the language support files into the same subdirectory as the Search and Replace program. Exit and restart Search and Replace to activate the change.

Search and Replace will automatically use our freeware, HexView, binary file viewer as the View Context viewer when a binary file is detected. HexView can be downloaded HERE (210K). Unzip the HexView distribution zip into the same path as sr32.exe.

Registered Users: Do not attempt to upgrade your license by installing the shareware version. You should follow the upgrade instructions you received from us. Write support@funduc.com if you lost your copy of the upgrade instructions. If you are a registered international user, you should upgrade your language dll's after installing the registered .exe by downloading and installing the appropriate dll's below.


Base Shareware Versions (English)
	SETUPSR.EXE (1.5 MB)	(32-bit version) Download this to a temporary directory and run 'setupsr.exe'. No files are added to your 'system' subdirectory. To uninstall use the Control Panel 'Add/Remove Programs' or 'Programs and Features' function for your operating system and locate Search and Replace. Follow the operating system procedures to uninstall.
	SR.ZIP (1.4 MB)	(32-bit version) Download this to a temporary directory and UnZIP this into the subdirectory of your choice and follow the instructions in "Install.txt".
	SETUPSR64.EXE (1.7MB)	(x64 version for 64-bit Windows) If you are running a 64-bit operating system you should use this version. Download this to a temporary directory and run 'setupsr64.exe' to install. To uninstall use the Control Panel 'Add/Remove Programs' or 'Programs and Features' function for your operating system and locate Search and Replace. Follow the operating system procedures to uninstall.
	SR64.ZIP (1.8 MB)	(x64 version for 64-bit Windows) If you are running a 64-bit operating system you should use this version. Download this to a temporary directory and UnZIP this into the subdirectory of your choice and follow the instructions in "Install.txt".
Other Downloads
	Special Config Utility	Visit the Search and Replace Special Configuration Utility page for a tool that can quickly make some special settings that are not available through the program Options dialog. For 32 bit version only.
	SRCLIENT.EXE (100K)	This is a network client configuration tool for v 3.4+ (32 bit). Run this from a network workstation and use it to adjust the references to the location of sr32.exe, the user's work path (for temp files, ctrl+script button dump, html output, etc), & the program shortcuts on the current machine.
	SRSHELL.EXE (205K) (16 Nov 03)	Installs/updates the extensions for Windows Explorer (32 bit only!) (e.g., Find Menu & 'Search and Replace' entry in the Explorer context menu. Not required if install via the setupsr.exe installer above or if you have one of our registered version installers. Use this if: a) You installed the zip version and do not want to enable the shell extension manually; b) If you are having problems with the right click context menu on XP user logons with limited user permissions; c) You need to restore the srext.dll for some reason.
	FSHexEd.zip (180K)	FS Hex Editor is free hex editor that is more sophisticated than our HexView hex viewer below. To use FS Hex Editor as the Search and Replace viewer/editor when a binary file is detected, go to the Options\|General dialog and specify the path to the hex editor. For example: c:\tools\fshed.exe "%path%" /s%start% /l%length%
	HexView.zip (210K)	Search and Replace will automatically use our freeware, HexView, binary file viewer as the View Context viewer when a binary file is detected. Unzip the HexView distribution zip into the same path as sr32.exe.

	Note: Versions prior to v 6.0 are no longer supported. Search and Replace no long requires a special build of the program .exe to using the Japanese language module. Install the module as with any other of the language choices. A Japanese version of HexView (32-bit) is also available below. UnZIP the HexView archive (hvjpn.zip) into the same subdirectory as SR32.EXE. If you wish, create a manual shortcut to launch HEXVIEW.EXE from outside of Search and Replace.
